The field farm story

In the beautiful setting of the Yorkshire Wolds, Field Farm Eggs Co. set their story. As a thriving family run business handed down from father to son we pride ourselves on delivering egg-cellent eggs every time.

The Field Farm Eggs story began in 1960 with Angus Field following his childhood ambition to run his own poultry farm.

At the age of three Angus and his family called the picturesque Yorkshire village of Goodmanham their home. Angus' family was evacuated to Goodmanham during the war. With a stream running through the property and fields next to their home they began keeping their own backyard hens to provide the family with fresh eggs daily.

In 1960, after an unforeseen job loss, Angus decided to start a poultry farm producing eggs. Within two years of their venture into the industry Field Farm Egg Co. were boasting 20,000 laying hens and rearing accommodation for 10,000.

“We started out as nothing, grading eggs in our garage and we have grown into a thriving local egg packaging and distribution company.”
- Angus Field (1st Generation)

By 1990 Angus was ready to hand over the reins to his son, Giles, and he settled into retirement.

Field Farm Eggs Co. to this day remains a local family business with family values. They have a great relationship with all of their customers and suppliers and continually work hard to develop and nurture new relationships.

“We have always valued the importance of being directly accessible to our customers and suppliers and we have no intention of abandoning our roots.” - Giles Field (2nd Generation)
